Learn the magical technique of iris folding with Sara Wilkes of Bright Lexicon. Named after the iris of a camera lens, this technique involves lots of folding, cutting, arranging, and taping which all lead to a spectacular result. We’ll be making heart cards, just in time for Valentine's Day. No experience necessary, and all materials will be provided. Extra packs will be available for purchase.

Turn your letters into art with brush markers and a little practice. In this three hour class, you will learn the basic strokes that make up brush-style calligraphy. We’ll put those strokes together to make a modern-style alphabet.

Then we'll use your new-found skills to create cute bookmarks. We'll cover layout, planning and transferring our design, and create a painterly background using brush pens, as well.

No experience required, and all materials will be provided. You will go home with a brush pen to keep practicing!

This beginner-level class will introduce you to the basics of digital art in Procreate, a powerful and versatile app for creating art on your iPad. Whether you're a complete beginner or you've had Procreate for a while but haven't quite figured it out, this class is for you. You'll learn the basics of the Procreate interface, discover a variety of tools and techniques, and develop a foundation for further exploration in digital art. No prior experience with Procreate or digital art is required, but you will need to have an iPad with Procreate installed as well as an Apple Pencil to fully benefit from this class. This is a three hour class packed full of information, so we'll take a brain break halfway through. Feel free to bring snacks to fuel up!

Instructor Sara Wilkes of Bright Lexicon will guide you through the process and answer any questions you might have. Sara is a calligrapher and digital artist who has been using Procreate since 2020 and immediately fell in love with it (she's such a nerd she's even read the handbook from cover to cover!).
